What Happens If I Skip Out On My Bond?

Getting a bail bond is a privilege not a right.  Many people feel that when they are given the opportunity to get Orange County Bail Bonds, that they are getting out of jail free and don’t have to worry about other legal obligations.  This is not the case.  When you are released out on bond, you are given a privilege that many others may not have.  Bonds are only offered here in the United States.  In other countries you are forced to sit in jail until your trial.

This is why you don’t want to skip out on your bond.  If you are working with a bondsman from a company like Acme Bail Bonds, it is important that you follow all of their rules and regulations.  If you don’t then they can violate you and send you back to jail, probably with more charges.

Many people will also think that they can skip out on their bond.  They feel that if they found a sucker to let them out that they are home free.  This is not the case.  If you skip out on a bond then a judge will issue a bench warrant for you.  This means that if you are ever stopped or arrested by a police officer, this warrant will show up and the cop will take you directly to jail.

If you are in another state or part of the country, then this is considered fleeing authorities.  This will then put your warrant in a national database and if you are ever stopped or arrested in another state, then this information will show up and then you will be taken into custody and extradited to your original state for trial.

The best thing that you can do is take your punishment and have your day in court.  More than likely, we believe that our punishments are worse than they are and by taking these actions we take a simple fine or a few days in jail and turn it into a major offense with years and much more money added on.
