Gonoshasthaya
Kendra, the formerly Bangladesh Hospital was established on 1971, to provide
medical treatment to the wounded freedom fighters. Gonoshasthaya Kendra
is providing health-related services to rural poor. Besides, it has played
a pioneering role in the development of an indigenous pharmaceutical industry
in Bangladesh. Grameen Uddog is a “not for profit” company belonging to the Grameen family of enterprises. It has taken the responsibility of production and marketing of famous Grameen Cheek, woven by the local handloom weavers. It aims at reviving the traditional handloom industry and improving the socio-economic condition of local weavers |

| Management And Human Rresource |
| The
mill is equipped with the most modern, completely new and automatic machinery.
It has modern lab facilities for quality of the finished products is ensured
trough a computerized quality control system according to the market demand
.The overall management is in the hands of qualified experts, who have
undergone extensive training for operation and production control. The
establishment of the mill has provided employment to more then 200 people.
80% of the workers are women coming from the locality, who have been specially
trained in machinery operation. |

A
modern Effluent Treatment Plant (ETP) is being installs to treat the wastewater
from the plant so that it does not pollute the environment. All the products
are hygienic and environment friendly. |
